A hint of Picasso. Hasla’s newest collection, Faces, has a positive “post-covid” feeling. The jewelry pieces are inspired by expressionism, and especially by Picasso’s representation of people. The designer, Anne Hasla, has worked with the words “Love”, “Equality” and “Nature”. She has experimented with drawing and painting and has arrived at various characters that represent these universal words. Anne has collaborated with an animator, who has made 3D versions of her drawings. The result gives the jewelry depth, while at the same time preserving the hand-drawn impression.
“Through my work on Faces, creativity has been given free rein. In the idea phase, I liberated myself from the idea of jewelry and focussed on the conceptual aspect of the collection. I made drawings and paintings and arrived at characters with the motif I wanted for the jewelry. We then modeled them into 3D objects, which have become artistic medallions.”
